Item Description
Lot of two Hopalong Cassidy Pillsbury related promotional items. The first is a 9.75x10” cardboard display sign which was attached to a countertop example of a Pillsbury box. The sign has some minor edge wear with lower right corner having some minor soiling and the remnants of a rubber band that as hardened and attached to the sign. Overall, very colorful and would display VF. The second item is a 13.5x19.5" one-sided paper poster has art image on left side showing premium rubber band gun and inset photo of "William Boyd Hopalong Cassidy Paramount Star." Right side has offer of Linda Ware doll w/inset photo of her. Lower right has box of cereal w/smiling baby on front. Text at bottom "Either Toy Free With Purchase Of 28 Oz. Package Of Pillsbury's Farina." Horizontal crease through center as mailed, overall bright and Exc. Early and rare. c. 1940. This item is a file copy from the Gold archives and is accompanied by a letter to that effect signed by Gordon Gold.
