Item Description
Threads of History #343 shows Horatio Seymour variety and notes two known. This Pendleton variety differs by picturing him with related text on bottom of greenback design reading "Pendleton, The Peoples Nominee/Convention Ratification Their Nomination." See previous item. 7.5x12.75" professionally mounted on thin board and framed shadow box style to overall size of 14.25x19.5". About 45% of the fabric has scattered tan age stains but colors remain bright. An extremely rare flag unlisted in Threads of History. See 1868 hopeful Salmon Chase ferrotype #115.
