As he was apt to do in these early western images, he removed his eyeglasses before the photo was taken. He wears large holster with pistol and rests his hat and hands on barrel end of upright rifle. Noticeable stains but mostly on margins except for small area right center along edge. We know of another photo taken at the same time where he faces the camera rather than this profile view. Blank reverse has large stain and old hand-inked caption, meaning unknown to us, reading "Sobrino/Recards Stack." Clear distinct early image of him in western outdoor garb. Good.
