Lot of 3 ashtrays circa early 1900’s. First two measure 5” dia. and the third measures 5.25”x5.25”. First two ashtrays in lot depict same picture of woman with hand to her face, one woman is blond, other is brunette. Blond has some minor paint wear to hair, and both have wear to gold accents. Both are VF/Exc. Last tray in lot has a .5” hairline crack in top center and some wear from use. This tray features a different woman with same hands to face pose with pillows in background. Also text “Pleasant Dreams & Fond Recollections.” printed below. This tray is of the same style of two of the trays in item 1151. FN. When ashtray images are viewed upside down a risqué image is formed with the woman’s arms and cleavage / scarf. An early risqué novelty.
