Item Description
11x14" exhibitors book has beautiful Deco-influenced cover featuring man riding Pegasus while carrying film camera. Book spotlights upcoming productions and stars. Brief re-cap at beginning of book mentions and shows picture of King Kong and Fay Wray. Beautifully illustrated two-page spread highlights "Frank Buck's Wild Cargo". Individual card stock pages highlight actresses and films of the time including Katharine Hepburn "Little Women" and "Son of Kong," the follow-up to 1933 smash hit "King Kong." A beautiful seductive page is devoted to Ginger Rogers who appears in stockings and negligee. There is a die-cut fold-out page with a banquet scene featuring several caricatured actors of the time and comic characters including Little King, Charlie Chaplin, Wheeler and Woolsey as well as Katharine Hepburn and Charlie Chan. A highly stylized and beautifully detailed book. Several pages towards back of book have been bound either upside-down or are loose as produced. Pages remain Exc. Cover has some moderate dust soiling and a strip of staining across middle of book. Fine.
