Item Description
For 2/20/62 flight, this 2.5" multicolor flasher does not have reverse pin, but rather large flat spot of solid green adhesive as if it was once mounted on some object. Rim reads "Around The World In 89 Minutes." Center has man in space helmet plus stars that "twinkle" when badge is moved along with image of blast off from Earth and two images of capsule labeled "Friendship 7" as it flies into space. Minor crease on ribbon that reads "John Glenn America's First Astronaut In Orbit." Most colorful pre-1964 flasher we've ever seen and also only one seen.
