Item Description
Rare 1.5" with W&H backpaper. Hake's Buttons In Sets lists examples seen dated 1927 through 1933. The 1928 button refers to "6th Annual Tournament" so they began in 1923 but apparently this 1927 is the first year buttons were produced. Light .5" hairline scratch crosses hat on right but just shows in reflected light. Totally clean & glossy. About second we've seen. Rare and Exc.
