Item Description
7x10.5" mailing envelope contains complete parts for game issued by Wheaties in 1936. Envelope has .25" spot of staining on front. VF. 20x26.5" map/gameboard is folded as issued and when opened, map reveals facsimile letter from Armstrong describing the game and mentions enclosed talisman which could be used "As A Watch Fob/Neck Piece Or Pocket Piece." Map/gameboard features overhead view of Southeast Asia plus designated trail to follow during game play and this features many small related illustrations of native people, scenes, plus large image of talisman. Rules and directions are printed on bottom margin. Just the faintest traces of aging and same .25" stain from front of envelope at bottom margin. Otherwise totally clean and Exc. Complete with 3x3" cardboard spinner and set of six 1.5" tall die-cut cardboard markers, each featuring different Asian-inspired image. Also comes with 3.5x5" offer for "Jack Armstrong's Oriental Stamp Offer." Spinner has light oxidation to tip and this has rubbed off where spinner hand rested on card. VF/Exc. Die-cut markers remain un-punched/un-cut. NM. 4.25" dia. metal talisman has bright gold luster with green accents. Exc. This is one of a handful of examples we've seen 100% complete and the nicest we've ever been able to offer.
