Item Description
9" long tin litho car comes in box illustrated on all sides. 1950s. Box has overall scattered traces of dark moisture staining although most of this blends with artwork. One side panel also has 4" tear running vertically from top to bottom. Inside side flaps have tear and one is completely separated. Still tight for display. Strong color and VG. The car is covered with different off-beat slang expressions such as "Kilroy Wasn't Here, Just Hunting Dear, 23 Skidoo, Mr. Hounddog/Capacity 5 Gals," etc. Has separate tin driver. Attached to grille is crank which produces a clicking sound. Friction mechanism working. Sparks were once visible through die-cut slots on the hood although no longer sparks as flint is missing. Car has scattered minor paint nicks and scratches but remains totally bright and glossy. Appearance is Exc.
