Item Description
15.5x16.5x3.5" deep at base tin litho 1940s. Plain cardboard box with blue lettering has overall aging, few creases, two corner splits on one side so flap is loose. VG. This toy is probably the most elaborate of the Marx target sets produced. Graphics are striking with cowboy and indian and charging buffalo on base which holds motor. Numerous other animals are illustrated along with spouting foutain on backdrop. When operating, powerful motor shoots stream of air. There is a celluloid ball furnished which floats in air to be shot. This ball has heavy wear and just comes along. Comes with original instruction sheet heavily soiled and torn in half. Original envelope which held two guns and darts. Eight darts are furnished, six with metal shafts and two with wood. Unsure if the wooden ones came with the set. The guns furnished are original, however only one is working. Target itself has paint nicks and scratches on the front of the base. Backdrop targets have a few paint nicks, some aging. Fine. A striking elaborate set.
