Item numbers 1011 though 2527 in auction 189
Item Description
Smiley measures 15" tall and Hemlock is 13.5" tall. Both by Vicma, a Spanish company which acquired the license to Sesame Street characters in 1976 to make their own versions of the famous Questor American Puppets. Produced solely for the European market and were not distributed in the United States. American versions were not produced for these 2 characters. While Hemlock's name did not change, Smiley's name was translated into Spanish where he was known as Felipe el Sonrisas. Nicely constructed fabric costumes with vinyl hands and heads, true to the Muppet designs. Both costumes are Exc. with some minor fading to Smiley's jacket. Paint rubs to raised areas of faces. Overall VF/Exc. Rare.
