Complete set of 50, each 1.5x2.75". c. 1930s. These came in two varieties, all of these are version with designated area on front bottom margin where character name was to be filled in although all of these are unused. Cards feature characters from a variety of different comic strips including Winnie Winkle, Smitty, Terry and the Pirates, Smilin' Jack, Harold Teen, Moon Mullins, Gasoline Alley, The Gumps, Little Orphan Annie. Backs are bw with Sugar Daddy humorous song lyrics and prize text noting that for every 25 cards sent in and correctly identified, prize of a giant-sized lollipop would be issued. Cards have slightest trace of margin aging but all remain totally clean, free of creases and with sharp corners. Exc./NM. Choice condition and the only complete set we've ever offered.
