Item Description
7.75x10.25" hardcover by Blue Ribbon Books ©1934. Has 28-page story with color and bw illustrations. All Waddle pieces have been punched out. The stiff paper sheets that held Minnie and Pluto Waddle pieces remain bound in the book, however the sheets that contained Mickey and Tanglefoot pieces have been removed and discarded. Pages have very light aging but overall remain quite clean. Cover has slight wear at spine/corner tips with some tiny surface paper rubs along extreme edges. However, cover retains an exceptionally bright, clean and fresh appearance. Book VF. Dust jacket has moderate aging/dust soiling with margin wear including small tears, surface paper flakes and small bit of insect damage. 1" piece missing from top spine. Color remains strong, VG. The set of Waddles are only missing two of Tanglefoot's legs but comes with pair of neatly-made replacements although not professionally done. All Waddles have traces of wear as originally assembled, some small tape repairs, creases, etc. However, no serious defects or repairs, overall Waddles are Fine. The runway is complete although split along one fold line with archival tape repair on reverse. Shows some light aging with small wear to tabs but appearance remains VF for display. Included is the original 7.5x10" illustrated instruction envelope for the runway, smaller plain envelope that contains 8 brass pieces used in assembly of the Waddles. The illustrated envelope has moderate aging and an 8" long tear on front along right edge. Overall still a very nice example of this book rarely found this complete.
