Item Description
Item is composed of 1.5" dia. celluloid top while underside is tin w/small notch to push, thus opening, a hole in the compartment where the product was placed. Container is about .25" thick. Side edge of celluloid top carries 1901 W&H patent date and top is totally clean and glossy w/wonderful color depiction of devil's red face at center accented by pair of yellow horns and black hair standing straight up. Face is surrounded by red/yellow flames against cream bkg. Text reads in full "For All Who Breathe...Little Imps Throat Ease Breath Perfume. The E.W. Stuber Co. (Inc.) Boston." Below devil's head is bold yellow price "5¢." One of the best early examples of the use of celluloid in product advertising and packaging. Couple tiny age dots on rim edge barely visible. Exc.
