Item Description
c. 1930s. Set consists of ten characters and a bungalow. 9x11” base holds 6.5” tall composition tree stump with printed tag on front. Stump has two cardboard window frames on either side of door. Top of door frame is cracked, but attached. Door is on wire hinge that swings open and back of door lists all ten characters included in this set. Manufactured by Androscoggin Pulp Co. South Wyndham, Maine. Text inside door also reads “Protected By Original Copyright Of Uncle Wiggily And His Hollow Stump Bungalow.” 40% of red paper border remains on base. Scattered paint loss and dust soiling. Comes with 10 two-sided characters, each attached to 1.25” dia. wood bases. Three have old tape stain but tape was removed and all 3 fitted into bases. Characters darkened with age. Fine. Rare.
