Item Description
Lot of two. First is 8.5x11.5" program. 24 pages. Dated April 24/May 9, 1943. Chicago Stadium. First personal appearance of LR outside the Detroit area as explained in one and a half-page article. Program also includes photos/articles of other circus performers. Spine splits/handling creases. Fine overall. Also included is 1.75" "Lone Ranger" button produced by a vendor for a rodeo performance. The photograph is actually of Gene Autry, but a small black line is printed over his eyes to represent a mask. Horse is not Silver. On close inspection, an extreme faint line running totally around the image shows where the original art was cut out and used to produce this button. We've only seen about 3 examples. Light rim stain. Very little shows from front. Still bright and glossy. Fine.
