Item Description
Titled "Men Of The Year." Depicted are Alan Shepard. Made first sub-orbital flight in Freedom 7 May, 1961; Gus Grissom who made the second sub-orbital flight in Liberty Bell 7 July 1961 (he was also first man twice into space and later died in launch pad fire); and John Glenn who made first orbital flight in Friendship 7 February 1962. Noticeable edge stain around much of circumference going inward at deepest spot on 3/16". Still has deep color & high gloss. From the Hake collection and & only example we've seen.
