2-5/8" tall silvered metal with fancy ribbon-like links above shield inscribed with crossed rifles flanked by "War 1861-5." Above knapsack or ammo pouch reads "Forty U.S. Rounds" with owner's name below "William Purdeau." He was member of "CO. A 116" ILL." Trivial wear. Exc. See National Guard item #705.
