Item numbers 927 through 2489 in auction 187
Item Description
These 14 beautifully colored celluloid buttons are 1.25" issued to promote Philadelphia newspaper comic strips. The two picturing Relentless Rudolph plus Smitty have no backpapers. The other 11 read "World's Most Famouse Comics/Evening Ledger Every Day" or "Listen To Brother Bill/Every Day 6 PM WIP." "Babe Bunting" has lost pink bkg. color but displays cleanly. The title button "Ledger Fun Club" has obvious stain mostly around perimeter. The other 12 are NM to Mint and bright, clean and glossy. The "key" buttons Minnie and Mickey have sales records in $1,000 range each and Felix, Popeye and Wimpy are around $200 each. Our consignor has set a very conservative opening bid.
