Item Description
We've seen only 3 of these in 39 years and our Hake collection example in Auction #183 realized $2,938.88. 1.25" wonderful portrait button of her standing between drawn stage draperies as if making her debut and in fact this button likely dates from the time of her first appearance in 1931. Made by Parisian Novelty with their name on the curl. Lower right includes small copyright symbol and "Fleischer Studios." Condition is equal to our collection example with only the most trivial wear under magnification and 15% loss of silver flashing from the reverse tin. Mirror-like gloss and perfect centering. A gem among comic character rare buttons.
