Item Description
1" oval cello also reading "On Call." A Virginia issue (see previous item) for group headed by Governor's wife Margurite Davis. The women volunteered at the DuPont war plant at Seven Pines, sewing silk bags and filling them with smokeless gunpowder. Two thousand women worked there. Their uniforms with pants were called "womanalls." No backpaper if it had one. Only one seen. NM.
