Lot of 45 plus original pack. 3.5x8.5" each. Unfolds to 7x8.5". Cover of each reads "For Scalps/Board Of Supervisors/Tehama County." Inside text includes "State Of California/County Of Tehama." Affidavit has space for individuals' names w/areas to list type, number and rate of animal pelts. Each one is signed and dated by recipient and deputy clerk. Included payment prices are wildcats $2, rabbits 10¢, raccoons 10¢, coyotes $10, eagles $2. One reads "Account Of Lewis (An Indian)." He received $10 for a coyote pelt and signed his name w/"X." All 45 come in an original 3.75x9" envelope w/writing on the front reading "Scalp Affidavits For January 1889." Bottom of back is printed "One Inch Expansion File Envelope." Exc.
