Item Description
1.25" bw photo button without dot pattern and with some very soft color tinting on the figures and foliage plus a darker red dot on the shoulder of the woman. Rim reads "The Son Of Tarzan - The Mystic Order Of The Jungle." Design is a little off-center towards the top but exceptionally clean and with extremely high gloss. Also, of the couple we've seen before, this is the first to have a backpaper which reads "Kraus M'fg Co. 220 W. 42d St. New York U.S.A." Paper has small sliver off bottom but far away from the text. This serial was by National Film Corp. and pictures Tarzan as played by P. Dempsey Tabler shown with a man dressed as an ape at the lower left and with a woman in the right bkg. A previous example we saw had a very pale blue tint on the rim but this rim is light yellowish tone and there was never any blue color. A beautiful example with crisp details. Lovely coloration and exceptional high gloss. This is same example as in Auction #181 that did not open at $1,750.00 so we've reduced opening a full 25%.
