Auction 189 - Part II
Item numbers 1011 though 2527 in auction 189
Item Description
7x8x5.75” tall tin litho with built-in key ©1940 KFS. Complete with pipe. Toy works but must be placed on a hard surface to operate and if wound too tightly, one wheel needs a turn to get it started. Popeye’s head has overall tiny scattered paint nicks, some paint wear on edge of hat but this blends with black paint. Pipe has small bend and missing spot of paint from end on both sides where it attaches to his mouth. Other light scattered wear. Toy still retains a glossy appearance with strong color. VG/Fine.
