Item Description
2-1/8" brass die-cut star frame has inner brass circular frame surrounding sepia cardboard real photo depicting four generations of rulers from left to right. Queen Victoria, Edward VII, George V, Edward VIII as a 5-year-old with hair in ringlets. Photo image has 1/16" tan dot left of Victoria. Missing a brass bar pin once looped at top. Reverse has convex brass luster tabbed dome where the photo was inserted and text on this reads "To Commemorate The Diamond Jubilee Of The Reign Of Queen Victoria 1837-1897." The best and only real photo badge we know of issued for this historic event, certainly the earliest badge to depict Edward VIII, famous for his later abdication. Rare and overall Exc. Third seen.
