Item Description
Lot of two. Each has same design but comes in two sizes. One is 7x10", other is 6x8". Dates of "1833-1933" appear in sky. Below composite image in center reads "A Century Of Progress." Border shows boat, locomotive, plane, Conestoga wagon, zeppelin, ship, automobile. Composite image in center shows skyline and buildings in bkg. w/Ft. Dearborn in foreground. Face of mat is in relief and covered w/foil to give a polished silver effect. Back is covered w/felt. Smaller one has original tag and remains sealed in cellophane. Tag on back includes "To Be Used Under Platters, Vegetable Dishes, Chafing Dishes, Toasters, Etc. To Protect Your Dining Table/Heat Proof/Stainless-Washable."
