Item Description
Typically 5.25x7.5", lot of 8 books, all hardcovers and each with dust jacket. Titles include: "Tarzan of the Apes, The Return of Tarzan, The Beasts of Tarzan, The Son of Tarzan, Tarzan the Untamed, Tarzan the Terrible" all published by Grosset & Dunlap between 1943 and 1945. These books all have the "Madison Square Books" dust jacket backs. Lot also includes "Tarzan of the Apes" published by Methuen in 1957 and "Tarzan and the Forbidden City" published by Whitman in 1952. Forbidden City has fully illustrated front and back dust jacket. Books have varying degrees of handling wear to dust jackets with small tears and creases as well as aging and dust soiling. Beasts and Methuen books have .25" to .5" chips at top and bottom of spines. These dust jackets VG. Rest of dust jackets overall Fine. Books themselves have some light aging but remain tightly bound and overall VF with Exc. contents.
