Item Description
9x20" framed and double matted display contains five different pieces for the "Superman Adventure" show sponsored by Macy's Department Store. All for November, 1940 show(s). First is 3.5x5.25" card which reads "Boys And Girls See Superman In Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - Hear Superman On The Radio WOR710 Mon.-Wed.-Fri. At 5:15 PM." This if followed by three complete 2.5x5" "Complimentary Admission" tickets for November 16-20, 1940 show. Each has different sponsor name on stub. These are "WOR Radio 710/Superman Inc./Journal American." The 4th ticket is missing stub but has ink stamp text reading "E-M HS" probable high school issue. Each has full body image of Superman at left. Shows were held at Macy's Herald Square at New York City and each of the four tickets also mention Toyland inside the store. Overall lightest traces of aging. NM/Mint. An exceptional display.
