Auction #187 - Part II
Item numbers 927 through 2489 in auction 187
Item Description
11.5" tall doll with cloth body, clothes, porcelain head, arms, legs. c. 1930s. Before the image became known as MAD Magazine's spokesman, the "What-Me Worry?" kid was used in advertising as far back as the late 1800s. Doll's clothes have some aging and light soiling, most to left side of shirt. Two small chips to back of head and .25x.75" chip to left foot. These chips do not greatly detract from doll's appearance. Fine/VF. Rare, 1st we've seen.
