Item Description
This group includes many seldom seen rings. The group begins with a "Sterling" ring by the famous silversmith "Gorham." Their markings are on the interior of the one piece circular band. Text in Spanish reads "Recuerdo De La/1492/1893/Esposicion De Chicago." Opposite side of band has text "El Anillo/Ysabel." Rare and NM. Second is a ring formed by the upper part of a souvenir spoon which has been cut across the shaft and then formed into a circle. Between the dates "1893/1492" is a portrait of Columbus and the circular band includes the words "World's Fair." Circular shape is a little less than perfect but the silver luster finish is nice and clean. Next is rare "Sterling" ring with top naming 1926 Sesqui-Centennial. NM. Next is silvered brass ring naming "Great Lakes Exposition Cleveland 1935." Some tarnish. Next ring with blue enamel top is from the same event but dated for 1936. Next ring with black enamel paint top is also for this event and dated 1936. Tiny loss of black paint. Next is brass ring with rectangular top naming "Golden Gate 1939" expo. Next with circular top is for the same expo. Both of these are VF. Next in silver luster is also for Golden Gate. NM. Last is marked "Sterling" and reads "New York World's Fair" with the top being a domed depiction of the symbolic Unisphere. NM. Many rarities.
