Item Description
We've seen only four examples of this ring still complete with the plastic dome ring top. This late 1930s ring has brass base with adjustable bands and clear plastic dome cover over a real photo of the radio comedian. Under the dome is a single ball bearing which can be positioned into one of three tiny circular cutouts. One of our previous examples had three tiny grey balls and one other had a single orange ball. It does not look like this example has ever been tampered with as the two tiny brass tabs on the underside show no trace of being opened and closed. It is quite possible the number of balls was subject to the quirks of those assembling the ring. Ring has near full brass luster and plastic dome is clean and clear. Previous examples, years ago, have achieved prices ranging between $400 and $800.
