Item Description
Very scarce ring circa 1940 from the candy bar introduced by NECCO in 1938. Our fourth example since auction #156. Brass with adjustable bands picturing a leopard on one side and a torch on the other. These were the symbols for the show "Black Flame Of The Amazon." Above each design is a small panel where there was a lettered inscription but this has been stamped over. However, original words "Hi-Speed Explorer" are easily seen with magnification. NECCO recycled the original ring into their first premium. Mounted within the ring top is a brass disk with propeller and wing design surrounded by the inscription "Sky Bar Pilot." The white accent color is near 100% complete and this is the best of the few we've offered. NM.
