Item Description
4.25x9.5" envelope. Lt. wear/aging and opened at top. Fine. Return address stamp "Stan Lee, Timely Comics, Inc., 350 Fifth Avenue, New York 1, N.Y." 1938 3¢ Jefferson stamp and 15¢ Special Delivery stamp used 1927-1951. No readable year on postal marks. Stan Lee was hired as an office assistant at Timely in 1939 and as a writer and interim Editor in the 1940s until Timely became Atlas c.1950, thus dating this envelope from the 1940s. Great piece to have autographed at a Comic-Con.
