Item Description
Each 2-1/8". Early one has a long curved spiral age mark covering about 50% of the silvering although silvering remains reflective. Minor oxidation on the collet. Front names issuer as "Strawbridge & Clothier/Philadelphia." Outer rim edge shows stain around 75% of the circumference. Santa is pictured behind a chimney and he holds a rope tethering his biplane. All is enclosed in a holly wreath with large bow. Color remains Exc. Next has about 95% silvering and shows Santa with a pen in one hand and what seems to be paper money in the other. Text is "Join Our Christmas Club/Guardian Trust Company Of New Jersey." Outer perimeter has about 15 tiny indent lines in the celluloid most smaller than 1/8". These don't cut the celluloid but a couple show in most light angles as well as more in reflected light. In spite of this celluloid remains totally clean and glossy. The first is rare and the second is scarce.
