Item Description
6.5x25.5". 1936. Paper hat with text "A Landslide For Landon" along head band with a fantastic graphic of an elephant wearing a banner reading "Dam The Deficit" and holding a large log in its trunk. Atop elephant is Alf Landon wearing a hat and hanging on for the ride. One each vertical and horizontal folds through hat and main image with four additional vertical folds on hat band. Some surface paper loss at folds most noticeable in red areas and at the junction of vertical and horizontal folds. Also overall toning of background. VG. Pencil notation at bottom reads "Landon Notification Ceremonies July 23, 1936" and reverse has advertisement for 'Triumph Printing Company" in Kansas City. Despite some condition drawbacks this is a spectacular Landon display piece.
