Item Description
7.5x10.5" stiff paper. Several varieties/versions of this premium picture were issued over the years from 1942 to 1973. This is the earliest version, issued in 1942 and is larger than later issues, which typically measured 5x7". Front features choice Superman illustration w/simulated wood border w/facsimile "Best Wishes From Your Friend Superman" inscription. Reverse has bw advertising "Action Comics" #47, "World's Finest Comics" #5 and "Superman" #14. Later versions of this picture featured different, contemporary comic issues. Tiny corner bumps but Exc. overall. See item #0000 for later issue lot. Infinitely more rare than later issues.
