Item Description
Lot consists of rare 1953 22”x28” half sheet for “Hot Blood,” the title used for “The Wild One” during its initial US release. Title was later changed and as such these posters were scrapped. Poster has vertical and horizontal creases as folded with some handling wear and aging to extreme margin with a 3.75” crease in bottom right hand corner. Poster remains bright and clean with nice large images of Brando, motorcyclists and scene with Brando kicking man. VF. Also included in lot are 14”x35.75” insert poster for “The Wild One.” Poster has nice image of Brando looking at woman’s leg as well as two scenes from film. Poster has horizontal fold crease at center and has heavy handling wear including several .5” segments of tape residue on margins. .5” chip to upper left hand corner which has several fold creases. Each corner has several pinholes and upper right hand corner has a 2.5” tear which has had tape repair to reverse. Good. “Jazz themes from the Wild Ones” 33 1/3 rpm record on the Decca label has nice red-tone image of Brando on sleeve. Image is repeated smaller in b/w on reverse. Sleeve has some light wear with some creases to edges and some very small surface paper defects at corners with a 1” moisture stain on back cover. Some light color rubs but still FN with an Exc. record.
