Item Description
13/16" litho marked with name of children's clothing maker on the reverse "Comic Togs." This is the rarest of the Togs set and indeed among the rarest of all comic character related pinbacks. We know of one example in a collection and one other which we were able to offer in auction #207 where it realized close to $1500. The name "Captain Midnight" appears on the bottom curl and just above three letters at the middle of his name there is a near hairline of missing paint only 1/8" long. The curl also reads "Copr. 1947 Famous Artists Syn." There are about a dozen pinpoint dots of paint off and there is a tiny 1/16" scratch on his head just below the right side showing his goggles. There is another tiny 1/16" white mark on the right area of the neck. These marks are all very small and mentioned for full accuracy. The button retains its gloss and overall we grade it VF.
