Item Description
7.5x11x3.5" deep box contains Mattel set issued in 1970. Consists of four 3" long die-cast cars w/matching collector's buttons all attached to insert. Cars are: red metallic Lotus Turbine, green metallic Brabham Repco F1, aqua metallic Shelby Turbine, blue metallic Indy Eagle. These feature "Exclusive Torsion-Bar Suspension/Low-Friction Wheel Bearings/Mag Wheels." The rubber band that holds the Indy Eagle is still pliable and unbroken but it has come loose from one of the two die-cut slots that hold it, and the car, to the insert. However, the rubber band is still attached to the other slot and firmly around one wheel, and as evidenced by our photo, the car can still be positioned so that it appears as issued and in its correct placement. We are selling as is with no guarantee this or the other cars remain in place during shipping and do recommend Next Day Air to help cut down on travel time. Box has trace of aging under the shrink wrap including a few age spots but remains tightly, factory-sealed and is Exc. w/Mint contents. A desirable boxed set.
