Item Description
10.75x14.25x1" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains complete parts by Novel Novelties Inc. ©1941 National Biscuit Co. Lid has two corner splits. Scattered surface paper wear along side panels of lid w/some scattered insect damage and edge/corner creases. Fine overall. Set consists of 10.5x14" full color tin litho target, 6" long crossbow w/metal bow and wooden handle (w/"Straight Arrow" sticker w/small portrait image and company name) and original string plus three magnetic "darts." Also comes w/instruction sheet which shows how to assemble crossbow and set up target. This has been folded and has some handling creases. Target includes illustrations of Straight Arrow and outlaws and designed w/pair of die-cut holes at top for hanging and punched out cardboard easel on back (easel part missing). Target remains bright and glossy and front displays Exc. Crossbow's metal arm has moderate surface oxidation. VG/Fine. Darts each have circular magnetic base w/feather attachments which show wear. Fine/VF. Nicely designed game and rarely found complete and w/box.
