Item Description
Solid plaster lamp w/patina finish stands 11.25" tall to top of socket. Depicts Golden Age Hollywood heartthrob Clark Gable (sans mustache) holding riding crop and leaning against building. Incised facsimile signature on front of base. Back of base has "Bill Davis Inc. © Hollywood, Cal." incised copyright. Part of a 1930s series of figural movie star lamps by this company, all of which are rare. We have seen a matching Jean Harlow as well as a Stan Laurel lamp. Rewired and works. Scattered wear to finish but VF overall.
