Item Description
8.75" long by 10.75" tall solid plaster figure features great full body depiction of Barney Google riding Spark Plug, "Spark Plug" name incised on his blanket. Opposite side has incised copyright symbol. Unlike most carnival statues that had less detailed paint jobs, this example is superbly painted and detailed. 1920s. Some small paint flakes to Barney's feet and tip of Spark Plug's muzzle, but o/w Exc. Very rare and the only example we've seen in our 49 years. Eric Renner Collection and the example shown on page 99 of his book "American Disguise."
