Item Description
17x19x2" deep hinged wooden carrying case w/handle and weaved cloth exterior contains complete 1941-1942 salesman training set consisting of eight 16" dia. double-sided records w/matching filmstrips in corresponding labeled cans. Two additional 12" dia. records and corresponding filmstrips are also included. A sample of topics covered include car's features, comparisons to other makes, selling points, etc. Some titles of note include - "Headline On The Highway, Luxury Gets A Lower Price, A New Kind Of Car," etc. Records show no wear and are NM. Can labels show a bit of aging but are VF overall. Case shows more moderate aging at edges w/some trace oxidation to metal latches and wear to leather handle. Fine. One of the most interesting filmstrips/records is a tour of the Nash factory. As Pearl Harbor happened a few months after the 1942 model was introduced, nothing like this elaborate instruction set was produced until after the war. A great item for anyone who collects automotive history or Nash Motors items. Lot also includes a glossy 8x10" photo showing nine sample images from filmstrips.
