Item Description
Two-piece lamp by Acme Lanterns Inc. of Brooklyn, NY. © Kagran, c. 1950s. Generic wall unit is 4.5" dia. by 1" deep painted metal w/attached bulb socket pair and original electric cord/plug. Reverse has hanger hole. Thick, parchment-like material shade is held to wire frame by gimp which is along all side edges. Great images include Howdy Doody w/lassos, Mr. Bluster selling tickets, Dilly Dally carrying buckets of water and Clarabell squirting Flub-A-Dub w/seltzer bottle. Balloon design at corners. Shade has lt. even aging (w/slightly darker aging at left/right edges), but all images remain distinct w/strong color. VF. Wall unit appears unused, NM. Scarce.
