Item Description
9x12" softcover w/16 stiff paper pages. Sonnet Publishing Co. ©1931. Book features art by the Van Beuren animation studio. Features character "Milton Mouse," a near dead-ringer for Mickey Mouse. Disney took legal action against the Van Beuren Corporation for plagiarizing Mickey. Book is similar to the first Mickey Mouse book, published by Bibo and Lang. Book contains illustrated stories and song "Aesop And His Funny Fables." Uncut and complete including cut-out activity page which is typically missing. Book shows moderate handling wear w/pinch creases to spine, which has 1.5" split at top and 1" split at bottom w/corner foxing. Scattered creases and staining to pages. VG overall. Scarce.
