Item Description
Original 14x21" thin metal printing plate for pages 4, 12, 20 and 29 of "Action Comics" #462, published by DC Comics Aug., 1976. Single plate features four full pages from two different stories. First two pages are from "Super-War Of Independence" story by Cary Bates w/art by noted Superman artist Curt Swan. Both pages feature Superman in multiple panels alongside two versions of Karb-Brak, the issue's villain. Third page is "Daily Planet" newspaper page w/stories about Green Arrow from "The Brave And The Bold" and Sgt. Rock from "Our Army At War." Last page is from Krypto "This Is A Job For Superdog" back-up story, featuring Krypto and Superman. Plate is reversed for printing purposes and shows aging and wear from use. Fine/VF. Comes w/reading copy of the issue this plate was used to print. A fun novelty piece to frame w/the comic and a must for Superman fans.
