Item Description
2.25x3" wide high quality tabletop cigarette lighter features "St. Louis Hawks" name and mascot dribbling basketball against red enamel paint on one side w/"Cordially - Ben Kerner" text on opposite side. Presented by team owner to players and VIPs. Kerner was the founder, owner and executive of the St. Louis Hawks of the NBA (which exists today as the Atlanta Hawks). Although not marked as such, it is believed that these lighters were given out during the season following their 1958 World Championship. Some lt. scattered aging but o/w Exc. Nice piece of early NBA memorabilia.
