Item Description
Each of these is 1.25" with curl naming the hometown Chicago maker Parisian Novelty Co. Each button includes text at the bottom "Copy. 1928-30/By W. E. Disney." Usually these 1930 buttons carry the imprint of a movie theater which sponsored the Mickey Mouse Club. These buttons naming famous mail order retailer Sears are a rare exception. This is a group of 25 identical buttons. These all came from a button collection amassed by a teenager in Chicago in the early 1930s. We have no idea how he acquired so many, of what has been traditionally a quite scarce button, but here they are all at once. Three or four buttons in our photo may show some grey marks but that was dust soil now removed and all are NM displaying Mint. We last offered one of these singly three years ago and it realized $125 plus the buyers premium. This group has a modest opening bid.
