Item Description
10-1/8x16" promotional book with text in French by The Ledger Syndicate, Inc. to entice them to carry the "Batman" daily strip. Book features reprints of strips that were originally published Aug. 15 to Dec. 10, 1966. This book was sent at the end of 1966. Strips include Superman, Joker, Penguin and Jolly Roger in addition to Batman and Robin. Although credited to Batman creator Bob Kane on front cover, this series was actually ghostwritten by Whitney Ellsworth w/art by Sheldon Moldoff, Joe Giella and Carmine Infantino. Front cover has some creasing and spine has residue from missing binding. Back cover has vertical creases and 4.5" tear. Fine overall w/Exc. pages. Rare promotional item. First we've offered.
