Item Description
5" tall solid plaster statue is nicely detailed w/incised name on one side of blanket and buttons at front. c. 1930. After the "Barney Google" comic strip had been running for a number of years, a new character was added - Rudy the Ostrich. Rudy was the gift of an ostrich farmer, whose child Barney rescued from a burning building. Rudy's main purpose in life was to make trouble for Barney. Moderate paint wear/rubs, mostly on neck. Fine. Rare w/only a few known examples.
